The "Fun" Part About New Years are The Resolutions

Year after year, I always thought that "resolutions" are just people's procrastination on things that could or should have been done last year.

But recently, I've just released that, it is actually something that would keep us looking forward to the upcoming year.

ANYWAYS,
these are my RESOLUTIONS for 2010!!!!

1. Climbing up. A promotion!!!!!
2. Getting a Laptop and a Camera. Any donations would be appreciated :P
3. Get a body like Jacob Black. (Rain's one a bit too ridiculous, 0% fats)
4. BLOG MORE!!!! That's right, shall not be lazy!!!! Shall re-Vamp too.
5. Be more RESPONSIBLE!!!! To partner, family and friends.
6. Picking up a new skill. Sleeping with the light on shall not be considered as one.

I guess that's it for now, since it's still early :P

Time After Time

Time flew by so fast.
With just a blink of an eye it's already November.

Still waiting for someone to help with the Re-Vamping.
Apart from that, what's new?
I'm now an owner,of an Nindento DS Lite, quite awhile ago

and recently, Nokia 5530 XpressMusic. (Regretted though...)

***

Tested out the Camera in broad day light, quite good. But not in the dark...

(Some random tree, in the Condominium)

Can't believe that I actually cam-whored

Apart from that, I've also recently just Re-Vamped my room.

Now all that's left is the Re-Vamp of the blog...

Tuesday, August 25

Not so Awe-gust.

Hmm... I guess that's why, August isn't spelled with an "Awe" in it.
Kinda brushed through the whole month, just living day by day as it is.
Really feeling home sick day by day. (I miss home so much)

CAN'T WAIT FOR A REVAMP TO HAPPEN!!!
I NEED A CHANGE!!!!

Just need to get that out.
Hope to update soon again.

My Dad, My Hero

Dear Daddy,

It's been awhile since I last called you "Daddy", right?
Anyways, I bet, this Father's Day, must be the dullest one ever.
With me being in Singapore and Max, not giving you the right respect and all.

I know it's already very late, but I have taken the Liberty to type out this post, and dedicate this to you.

Ever since I was young, I've always looked up to you. From the way you punished us, to the way you do that funny dance*. When I was a boy, I always told my friends and teachers that
"when I grow up, I want to be just like Daddy."
And ever since back then you always seem to know everything, from the hardest of the hardest mathematical questions, precription of what medicine to take when I'm not well. Even till now, me being 19 years and 6 to 7 months old, you still are very knowledgeable on a lot of things.

Then when I'm here in Singapore, aunty would always tell me the same story about, the time when you came down to Singapore and the jobs you took up. Especially the one where you sold cosmetics, then she will always say this line, "How is it possible for guys to sell cosmetics back then?". But you did it. I guess that's why nowadays there are guys working in cosmetic shops, maybe it was all because of you. And everytime she tells it, I always find it hilarious.

And you were always there for me, for the good and the bad. I remembered this once when I was in primary school. I was crying and crying because you didn't get me the toy I wanted or any toys. Then you said that you were sorry for not being able to be the father that I wanted. Thinking on that incident, I would still cry from hearing that line.

And lastly I know that for the past few years our relationship haven't been going so smooth, and I oftenly disappoint you lately. But I want you to know Daddy, that

"I TRULY LOVE YOU, DADDY"
"HAPPT FATHER'S DAY",
to my dad, The World's Greatest Dad.

PS: Don't worry about me, dad. I'm trying my best in both finding a job, and not to disturb aunty.

From your son,
TOH LEE GENE

(my dad in the shirt that I bought for his birthday)

"Mending Ties"

One of the new issues on the news.
Our new American President, Mr Barrack Obama, is planning to mend ties with the muslim countries. He made a really good speech, with some quotes from the Al-Quran. Which is much respectable.

So, to Mr. Obama, I support your cause all the way!!!
If whatever said becomes a reality

Finally, we can end the stereotype-ness of the muslim people being the evil people.

PS: Faiz, it's about time to let go :p
PSS: Check out his speech in Cairo, Eygpt.

Advice Needed

Ladies & Gentlemens,

HOTEL VS RESTAURANTS

Here is a lil question mark, that I'm facing right now. "Either to Work in a HOTEL or a Restaurant?"
Here's a some of the PROS and CONS

HOTEL
PROS
  • Higher Standards
  • Meals Provided
  • Getting to Work in a Hotel
CONS
  • Again... Higher Standards
  • Shift may not be so convenient - Midnight ones
  • Opportunity of Promotion is lower
  • LONG hours, unreasonable pay

RESTAURANT
PROS
  • More Casual
  • Able to Meet more random crowd
  • Promotion chances are HIGHER
  • Limited SHIFTS
  • A lil easier on the transportation side
CONS
  • Meals are on my own
  • Not all restaurant are RECOGNIZED
  • Slam Periods can lead to fatigue
Well those are the most of the points that I can think of, currently.

P.S: Enjoy the SUPER AWESOME & COLOURFUL POST PEOPLE :P

Dark Stormy Night

So as the title said,
It was a Dark Stormy Night, well not exactly Stormy, but it was raining cats and dogs.
Have you guess ever slept in room 14 floors high, and bolts thunder strucked so close to your window?
A very scary experience indeed, but nevertheless the weather was really pleasing.

Sorry, ladies and gentlemen, this is just a short post

Tuesday, June 2

BJ can also stand for Bad Journey

Just some random title.
Other than that, I've just recently got the thought (and guts to type it out) about this topic.

"Why are we still giving benefits to ladies?"
- mostly from events like Ladies Night, Global Women Appreciation Day?
- What about the saying of "Behind every great man, lies a WOMAN"

Anyways, not to be a sexist but isn't the number of women dominating the man? Apart from that they dislike being look down at, which I personally can agree with but, why are they still enjoying this benefits? What about the protection of men?
What about MEN appreciation day? or Dude's Day? or "In front of every Woman, waits a MAN"?

In a nutshell, the topic on top is just something I thought of, and it does not target a specific person or group. And to show that I'm not a Sexist, Women are the bomb!!!

"Beeping UFO"?

Have you guys seen this before? Xiwern and I stumble upon it at "SnowFlake" the Taiwanese Dessert Shop, in SS15 (Very near to Asia Cafe), about a week ago.

It says,
"BEEPING UFO"

**** Couldn't Remember the Top Part****

"When this baby UFO is vibrating and flashing

THAT MEANS IT'S READY!

PLEASE GO TO THE COLLECTION COUNTER
TO RETRIEVE YOUR YUMMY MOUTH WATERING DESSERTS!

Please return the "BEEPING UFO" to the aliens
....uh.... I meant staff at the counter before collection

THANKS!

Psst... Now you know why Taiwan is so
much more Technologically advanced
...ALIENS..."

A very interesting device for a self service food outlet. Kinda weird and lame, especially the with the "ALIEN" joke. Anyways this shop, offers not bad desserts at a slightly little higher price (Around RM5, for a dessert). No doubt, I won't mind going there to have desserts again (I have no idea why am I promoting them...). So pop by, and check out the "BEEPING UFO" aight?

Someone Once Said...

"The people that are trying to make the world worst never take a day off.
Why should I? Light up the Darkness."

- Bob Marley

taken from "I Am Legend"

Saturday, April 11

PR also stands for "Poor Reunion"

"April 10th 2009, exactly the same date, we stepped foot into Taylor's College School of Hospitality and Tourism in Leisure Commerce Square as DH 27, two years ago."

Well that's a little introduction for April 10th, and so basically, I've kinda placed it as a date of our reunion for the future. As for 2009, I guess it was considered a really last minute pull off kinda thing, as;

- Not many people remembered
- Not many people know about it
- Not many people were free today

So in conclusion, Not many people turned up. Anyways it was still quite fun even though the group was really small. Trust me, REALLY SMALL. So with the midget group, we decided to catch a movie.

Actual Plan
Movie: He's Just Not That Into You
Time: 8:30 PM screening
Location: Sunway Pyramid

****

As usual, "What Actually Happened"
Movie & Location: Same
Time: 11:20 PM

It turns out that,
"Pyramid + Friday Nights = No Parking"
So by the time, we actually arrived to the cinema was already 8:25 PM. Along with that long queue, there was no way that we would actually manage to get into the theaters in time. During the short moment of dilemma, of "Don't know whether to watch the 11:20 one, or some other movie", and due to my own selfish-ness, I, myself, decided for everyone on the 11:20 screening (I really wanted to watch that movie). And so with my selfish act, we ended up with 3 hours to kill.
Those 3 hours ended up a little lame and boring (sorry guys...). Most importantly, DDR, as Russel Peter said, is one of the hardest shit I've ever tried in my l
ife. I guess the hard part comes, as our "Leg-Eye Coordination" is not as good as our "Hand-Eye Coordination". Even with that said, I WANT TO TRY DDR AGAIN!!!!!
Apart from that Nana, got her tickets to David Archuleta' s showcase in Sunway Lagoon. You guys should have seen the moment she got her hands on those ticket, it was like she just lost her virginity. Other than that, we were able to catch some parts (mostly the ending) of Fast & Furious 4, at a mamak.
Finally came the movie, "He's Just Not That Into You"

Starring: Ben Affleck, Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, Kevin Connolly, Bradley Cooper, Ginnifer Goodwin, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long Running Time: 130 minutes Short Summary:
He's Just not that into you, is an adaption from the self help book of the same title. The story is about 9 individuals with their views and angles of their love life, and each of them have a slightly different story to tell. These individuals are all connected through a circle (and all of them are like miraculously related to one another). -Trying to be spoiler FREE
Verdict:
I would personally rate this "Chick-flick" romantic comedy, with an all star cast, a 5 out of 5. One of my most favorite movie so far. The most interesting part about this movie, is that you are not just looking at 1 love story, but 4. All with their own special "exceptions". Kinda like the positive version of the Korean movie, "Sad Movie". Quite good funny scenes, and some great quotes.

We are all programmed to believe that if a guy acts like a total jerk that means he likes you.

Conclusion:
This show is a must watch, especially for girls of all ages, and single people. But it tends to get a little predictable, after half way through the movie (5 Women, and 4 Guys). Anyways, I'll be getting the DVD as soon as it is out.

So that was all for the movie. Sorry guys, if I kinda dragged you guys into watching the late movie with me. Well it was much appreciated, hope you guys enjoyed the movie as much as I did.

I guess that's all for now. So tune in for future posts.

"March"-ing into "April"

Quite a delayed post, I guess. Procrastination tends to always get in the way. It's like when somebody wants to cover something up, they go like;

"OH MY GOD, WHATS THAT BEHIND YOU!!!!"

- When there is obviously nothing behind you...

and then you forget what you wanted to say in the first place. So a job well done to PROCRASTINATION!!!! - (a long six months without post)
Anyways. just taught of blogging (again...), thanks to Shannon and Joanne. Hopefully the motivation this time, stays in tact more longer than the previous HYPE.

What's new since awhile...
Firstly, I've graduated from diploma, and now stuck at home. Obviously wasting lots of time. Secondly, I've finally gotten a (or is it "an"?) X Box 360, Shared with my bro. Thirdly, I guess this would eventually happen to everyone, (Yeah...) I am BROKE.
Last but not least, My dear friend, FAIZ, has a girlfriend. Surprising, ain't it?

So I guess that's all for now. Signing off folks.
