My Dad, My Hero

Dear Daddy,

It's been awhile since I last called you "Daddy", right?
Anyways, I bet, this Father's Day, must be the dullest one ever.
With me being in Singapore and Max, not giving you the right respect and all.

I know it's already very late, but I have taken the Liberty to type out this post, and dedicate this to you.

Ever since I was young, I've always looked up to you. From the way you punished us, to the way you do that funny dance*. When I was a boy, I always told my friends and teachers that
"when I grow up, I want to be just like Daddy."
And ever since back then you always seem to know everything, from the hardest of the hardest mathematical questions, precription of what medicine to take when I'm not well. Even till now, me being 19 years and 6 to 7 months old, you still are very knowledgeable on a lot of things.

Then when I'm here in Singapore, aunty would always tell me the same story about, the time when you came down to Singapore and the jobs you took up. Especially the one where you sold cosmetics, then she will always say this line, "How is it possible for guys to sell cosmetics back then?". But you did it. I guess that's why nowadays there are guys working in cosmetic shops, maybe it was all because of you. And everytime she tells it, I always find it hilarious.

And you were always there for me, for the good and the bad. I remembered this once when I was in primary school. I was crying and crying because you didn't get me the toy I wanted or any toys. Then you said that you were sorry for not being able to be the father that I wanted. Thinking on that incident, I would still cry from hearing that line.

And lastly I know that for the past few years our relationship haven't been going so smooth, and I oftenly disappoint you lately. But I want you to know Daddy, that

"I TRULY LOVE YOU, DADDY"
"HAPPT FATHER'S DAY",
to my dad, The World's Greatest Dad.

PS: Don't worry about me, dad. I'm trying my best in both finding a job, and not to disturb aunty.

From your son,
TOH LEE GENE

"Mending Ties"

One of the new issues on the news.
Our new American President, Mr Barrack Obama, is planning to mend ties with the muslim countries. He made a really good speech, with some quotes from the Al-Quran. Which is much respectable.

So, to Mr. Obama, I support your cause all the way!!!
If whatever said becomes a reality

Finally, we can end the stereotype-ness of the muslim people being the evil people.

PS: Faiz, it's about time to let go :p
PSS: Check out his speech in Cairo, Eygpt.

Advice Needed

Ladies & Gentlemens,

HOTEL VS RESTAURANTS

Here is a lil question mark, that I'm facing right now. "Either to Work in a HOTEL or a Restaurant?"
Here's a some of the PROS and CONS

HOTEL
PROS
  • Higher Standards
  • Meals Provided
  • Getting to Work in a Hotel
CONS
  • Again... Higher Standards
  • Shift may not be so convenient - Midnight ones
  • Opportunity of Promotion is lower
  • LONG hours, unreasonable pay

RESTAURANT
PROS
  • More Casual
  • Able to Meet more random crowd
  • Promotion chances are HIGHER
  • Limited SHIFTS
  • A lil easier on the transportation side
CONS
  • Meals are on my own
  • Not all restaurant are RECOGNIZED
  • Slam Periods can lead to fatigue
Well those are the most of the points that I can think of, currently.

P.S: Enjoy the SUPER AWESOME & COLOURFUL POST PEOPLE :P

Dark Stormy Night

So as the title said,
It was a Dark Stormy Night, well not exactly Stormy, but it was raining cats and dogs.
Have you guess ever slept in room 14 floors high, and bolts thunder strucked so close to your window?
A very scary experience indeed, but nevertheless the weather was really pleasing.

Sorry, ladies and gentlemen, this is just a short post

BJ can also stand for Bad Journey

Just some random title.
Other than that, I've just recently got the thought (and guts to type it out) about this topic.

"Why are we still giving benefits to ladies?"
- mostly from events like Ladies Night, Global Women Appreciation Day?
- What about the saying of "Behind every great man, lies a WOMAN"

Anyways, not to be a sexist but isn't the number of women dominating the man? Apart from that they dislike being look down at, which I personally can agree with but, why are they still enjoying this benefits? What about the protection of men?
What about MEN appreciation day? or Dude's Day? or "In front of every Woman, waits a MAN"?

In a nutshell, the topic on top is just something I thought of, and it does not target a specific person or group. And to show that I'm not a Sexist, Women are the bomb!!!
