Advice Needed

Ladies & Gentlemens,

HOTEL VS RESTAURANTS

Here is a lil question mark, that I'm facing right now. "Either to Work in a HOTEL or a Restaurant?"

Here's a some of the PROS and CONS

HOTEL

PROS

• Higher Standards
• Meals Provided
• Getting to Work in a Hotel

CONS

• Again... Higher Standards
• Shift may not be so convenient - Midnight ones
• Opportunity of Promotion is lower
• LONG hours, unreasonable pay

RESTAURANT

PROS

• More Casual
• Able to Meet more random crowd
• Promotion chances are HIGHER
• Limited SHIFTS
• A lil easier on the transportation side

CONS

• Meals are on my own
• Not all restaurant are RECOGNIZED
• Slam Periods can lead to fatigue

Well those are the most of the points that I can think of, currently.

First week wasn't that bad. Maybe cause it was still the first week, and the lecturers are going easy. Hopefully, can get in gear, and eat less, as soon as possible. That's right, college is quite a bad thing for my diet, cause we FREAKING EAT every time we get a break!!!! Working and studying is indeed quite tiring. Got to always look at the bring side of life. At least, I enjoying myself, kinda like a "Secondhand Getaway". That's right people, POSITIVENESS!!!!
Back to the formalities, here is this week's work schedule.

Tuesday to Thursday
Off
Friday - 6pm to 10pm
Saturday - 12pm to 10pm
Sunday - 9am to 5pm
Monday - Off

Quite stress free, hopefully college will be the same.
Here comes the stress part. Assignments and Projects have already waved themselves in. They come in like it's their own houses. *GASP* Burdens!!!! BURDENS!!!!
For assignments, First and Foremost is the Food Promotion. The most crucial project of the whole term. For our Food Promotion, 3 groups will come together to plan out one. Which falls on the 22th of November.
And guess who got elected Assistant Beverage Director?

*ME!!! ME!!!*

Though I was really looking forward for the Director post, but Sunny had was more convincing to the crowd. But no fret, he does suit the post too. As for the other positions, it was pretty much held by Group 1 and 2. Not to show off, it's like all of Group 1 members hold a position. Which seems pretty much unfair, to me. But what to do? The committee has already been decided. As for the progress, communication are starting to become an issue already. The more serious issue, the theme haven't been decided yet. *GASP!!!!*
Anyways, just wish us luck for this project, and hopefully we can make it the BOMB.

Next up the Burden-some chart is the queer Academic English, We are suppose to gather articles related to the hospitality and tourism industry, dating back from June this year, read them and file them. Not just few of them, but we are asked to file F***ING FORTY of them!!! That's right 40. *GASP!!!!*
But thanks to my dad, I have excess to a Trade Magazine called "TTG", Lucky me *GRINS*

Oh my God.... Feeling SO FREAKING stressed out just talking about it.

I'll get to that topic as soon as I finished up with the formality.
Firstly, I would like to present to everyone my this week's schedule. So you know when to, and when not to expect a reply.

Tuesday - Off
Wednesday - 9am to 5pm
Thursday - 9am to 5pm
Friday - 5pm to closing
Saturday - 5pm to closing
Sunday - 12pm to 10pm
Monday - 9am to 5pm

And, "HELL YEAH" to Wednesday and Thursday, it's double pay day, which means,

"1 Hour Work = RM10 paid"

Anyways, I was "Overtime-d" today, 9 hours straight, without break, AKA RM 90, just like that. But tomorrow confirm getting "Overtime-d" again. Due to shortage of Bartenders.

Mini Update

Here's a mini update to show that "Cone Sundae On A Sunday" ain't dead yet.
Here is my this week's schedule, though two days are already gone.

Wednesday - Off
Thursday - 9am to 5pm
Friday - 6pm to Closing
Saturday - 6pm to Closing
Sunday - Off
Monday - 6pm to Closing

See? They, managers are really "good" at arranging a "good" time table for me. All Openings and Closings. Wanna know why? Easy, it's cause by asking me to do opening and closing, I only work for them for like 7 hours and below. Which saves their cost, for

Them = Good (save labor cost)
Me = Bad (make less money)

Anyways, as for yesterday, they made me work for from 9 in the morning till 9 at night with just a 15 minutes break. Due to the absence of the Swing bartender. F*** man!!!!
But on the bright side, I was making RM60 just like that, but man, it was tiring.

By the way, it's happening again this Sunday at my place.

9th September 2008: Sunny Tuesday

What a freaking sunny day today....
Anyways, this post is to the sucker named Faiz, who is always bugging me for an update in the blog.

Nah, In your face BIATCH!!!

Firstly today I wanna say goodbye to my ROCKSTAR cum Hair-Model silky smooth hair, as I'm gonna cut it later. Hopefully it would look good. I'll post a picture on how I look after I cut it later, kay peeps? And there goes Project: Ponytail.

What's Project: Ponytail?
It's basically my short term plan on wanting to keep a short ponytail, a real short one. Due to encouragement from the head bartender in Friday's, T.O.P. of BIG BANG and the other bartenders in Chaswood Resources.

Secondly, just want to tell the world that, I'm now working part time for T.G.I. Friday's in Sunway Pyramid as a Bartender. Since that my training is over, with one whole month of holiday, and I need some cash to flow in. This weeks schedule,

Tuesday - Off (Obviously)
Wednesday - 9am to 5pm
Thursday - 9am to 5pm
Friday - Off
Saturday - 5pm to Closing
Sunday - 5pm to Closing
Monday - Off
